Privacy notice

How we collect, use and protect personal information when you contact D:fine Hair & Beauty.

Who we are

D:fine Hair & Beauty is a hair and beauty salon based at 46 High Street, Haverhill, Suffolk CB9 8AR. We are the data controller for personal information submitted through this website. If you have questions about this notice, email customer-service@dfine-hair.co.uk.

Contact form data

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, chosen service category and message. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and arrange salon services where requested.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your contact enquiry for unrelated marketing unless you separately ask us to.

Lawful basis

We process contact form data on the basis of your consent when you submit the form, and where necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a salon appointment.

How long we keep information

Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can respond, manage bookings and maintain reasonable business records, then deleted or anonymised when no longer required. Server-side anti-spam logs and rate-limit records are kept only for short operational periods.

Who we share data with

We use trusted service providers to deliver the website and contact form:

  • Resend — sends enquiry emails securely to the salon team.
  • Netlify — hosts the website and contact form API.
  • Google Maps — only if you choose to load the map on our contact page.

These providers process data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where that happens, we rely on approved transfer safeguards.

Cookies and local storage

We store your privacy choice in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit. This preference is used to manage consent for the contact form. If you load the map on our contact page, we also remember that choice locally.

You can change your contact preferences at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to processing or withdraw consent where applicable. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.
